Good and Easy Pizzas

Recipe From : Janet's Grandmother

Ingredients:

Crust:
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. oil
2 1/2 cups flour

Sauce:
1 16 oz. can tomato sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic (minced)
1/8 tsp. pepper

Toppings:
1 lb. browned ground beef, pepperoni or sausage
onion, chopped
green pepper, chopped
mozzarella cheese
parmesan cheese

Directions:

Dissolve yeast into warm water. Stir in remaining crust ingredients. Beat vigorously 20 strokes. Allow dough to rest 5 minutes. Divide dough in half. Pat into circle of two lightly greased 10" pans.

Mix sauce ingredients together and spread evenly over pizza crusts. Top with meat, onions, peppers, etc. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and then parmesan cheese on top.

Bake at 425 for 25-30 minute or until brown.

Notes or Special Instructions:

Makes 2 pizzas

To make a crisper crust, you can brown the crust for 5-10 minutes before topping with sauce and ingredients. Cook for remaining time or until brown.
