We stopped by the
Astronaut Hall of Fame while waited for the shuttle launch the next
day. Also, home of Space Camp (4/18/01))

Shuttle
"Endeavour" blasted off at 2:41PM on April 19, 2001.
What a treat to be anchored so close and witness the launch. These
pictures pale in comparison to the actual sight (and sound!).

We moved the
boat 3 miles north after the launch to an anchorage in Titusville.
This remote, uninhabited island made for a wonderful setting and was the
perfect playground for Max & Bailey. We were the only ones
here. (4/20/01)

Historic St.
Augustine, FL offers a nice anchorage, great views, and even romantic
horse & buggy rides. That's 'Charbonneau' anchored on the left
& the Bridge of Lions in the background. (4/22/01)

and ended up pinned against St. Augustine's Bridge of Lions. Click HERE

Our former NC
neighbors, Tom and Barbara Todaro, spent a night aboard 'Charbonneau' in
St. Augustine. It was Tom's 50th birthday and the first time
they've ever slept aboard a boat. They said they couldn't wait to
come back, so we think they had a good time. :-) (4/27/01)
That's it for
this adventure. We left St. Augustine on April 29th and headed north
for the summer. Check out our Summer 2001 'Adventure' for pictures
of that trip.
