We thought we were
back in NC again when we saw the St. Augustine Light. Looks just
like the Cape Hatteras Light.
St. Augustine
has lots of history and plenty of entertainment for all the
tourists. Here are two street acts we saw. A Tin Man and a
very complete One Man Band.
Castillo de San
Marcos is the oldest fort in the US. It was first occupied by the
Spanish, then the British, before Florida became a US territory.

Some offshore
routine (Ft. Pierce to Ft. Lauderdale). Janet works on her emails
while the dogs 'snooze' on the cockpit floor. They like to brace
themselves against the sides and against each other to prevent any
rolling around.(11/28/00)
We knew were in
the rich neighborhood when we arrived in Ft. Lauderdale. Here are
two of the many homes we saw and two of our neighbors in our marina.

Two of our
former NC neighbors were in Ft. Lauderdale when we stopped. Tom
and Barbara Todaro visited us aboard 'Charbonneau'. We had a
wonderful evening of visiting and catching up news from home. (11/30/00)
Here it
is. Our first offshore catch -- 10 lb tuna. You can read the
"reel" story in our Living Aboard section. (12/01/00)
We made it to the
Keys!!! Perfect sunset in our anchorage just west of Sands Key.
There's a place
on Sands Key that is really unique. A man-made harbor in the shape
of a keyhole. If you follow the pictures from left to right,
you'll see how well hidden it is. We passed it twice before
finding it. Neat place!
