Our friends aboard
Triana Marie join us for another day of exploring the Crab Cay ruins near
George Town. That's Dani taking a break on the right. (4/27/03)
|

Ali helps cool
Bailey down with some of her water during our Crab Cay hike. (4/27/03)
|

Bailey overdid it
on his walk. He looked pretty thankful when Janet offered him this
ice pack (4/27/03)
|

How can you tell
when the season's changed from Winter to Spring in the Bahamas?
Waterspouts! Here's one approaching George Town. (4/29/03)
|

Several cruisers,
us included, celebrated Cinco De Mayo at the Four Points Restaurant and
Tiki Bar in Rock Sound, Eleuthera (5/5/03)
|

Even if you don't
celebrate Cinco De Mayo, you can't deny that the view from our bar stools
was quite impressive. (5/5/03)
|

Cruisers often
spend time looking for ways to give back to the communities who open their
towns and hearts to us on our visits. One opportunity came during a
local school fundraiser in Rock Sound. The good was great and the
dogs were a real hit with the kids.

Sunset in
Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera. That's our friends boat, Procyon, on
the left. (5/7/03)
|

Randy, Sheri, and
their black lab, Pepper, joined us for a walk along Eleuthera's long pink
sand beaches. We were accompanied by a friendly Potcake puppy.
(5/8/03)
|

Here's the Potcake
puppy in the previous photo showing us how to hunt for sand crabs.
Sequence runs top-left to bottom-right. Very funny to watch as he
sniffed out the crab's hole and then went digging. (5/8/03)
|

Blaine brought
home lunch in Eleuthera -- Stone Crab! We harvested the claws and
threw the rest back so he could go on to regenerate new claws for lunch
next year. There's not much meat in the crabs body anyway. (5/9/03)
|

Our friend Enrico,
who owns/operates the Cocodimama Charming Resort in Eleuthera, came along
for a long sail from Alabaster Bay to Spanish Wells. He sailed us
part of the way and then gave in to the urge to just relax.
|

Blaine shows off
another great catch. This one on our 500-mile passage from Eleuthera
to Charleston. (5/14/03)
|

Knowing that this was
probably the last Mahi Mahi from our winter in the Bahamas, Blaine kisses
the fish and the Bahamas good-bye. (5/14/03)
|
We arrived safely
in Charleston on Saturday, May 17th, which ends this years' Passage
South. Thanks for traveling wit h us. Still more
adventures to follow.
