Charbonneau anchored
in a peaceful spot called Webb' Cove inside Country Harbour (8/25/03)
Near Webb's Cove
is the small fishing village of Issac's Harbour. (8/26/03)
Canso, the
easternmost port on mainland Nova Scotia. The view from our boat.
(8/26/03)
The Bras d'Or
lakes offer some great anchoring spots, like this one in Cape George
Harbour. (8/28/03)
Cape George
Light, around the corner from our anchorage. (8/29/03)
Entering Marble
Mountain where the land is still scarred from when marble was mined
from the land years ago. (8/29/03)
With waters
running deep almost all the way to shore, we could anchor very close to
this rocky beach in Clark Cove, Marble Mountain. (8/29/03)
The rocky beach
in Clark Cove led to a wooded hike. Max enjoyed the shade and walk
through the woods. We think he misses the 5-acres we used to own.
(8/29/03)
The view from
our cockpit after a long day of rains showers. It was almost worth having
the rain to see this as a result. (8/30/03)
Sitting at a
picnic table atop Marble Mountain gave us a breath-taking panoramic view
of the lower Bras d'Or Lakes. (8/31/03)
Bailey
celebrated his 9th birthday in Nova Scotia. Here he is attacking one
of his presents--a bag of tennis balls. (9/1/03)
Janet and a
bouquet of wildflowers (weeds, actually) in front of the Maskell's Harbour
Lighthouse (9/1/03)
Max and Bailey
get a good run on the Maskell's Harbour Lighthouse grounds. (9/1/03)
This is my
favorite shot of Maskell's Harbour. (9/1/03)
And this was
Janet's favorite of Maskell's Harbour. You be the judge. Either way,
it was beautiful. (9/1/03)
