Bailey decided to
mutiny and join Blackbeard The Pirate, also in Belfast. (7/25/03)
|

Janet and I
joined the pirate theme when we visited the Penobscot Marine Museum in
Searsport later that day. (7/25/03)
|

And we made
Brianne, Don's daughter from Valkyrie, walk the plank. Argh, Matey!
(7/25/03)
|

Later that
evening, all the pirates from both Charbonneau and Valkyrie enjoyed a
lovely sunset in Turtle Head Cove, Islesboro Island Maine. (7/25/03) |

We returned to
Seal Bay and actually had the opportunity to photograph some of the Bay's
namesakes. (7/27/03)
|

This little guy
waved as we motored away in the dinghy. Friendly looking, aren't
they? (7/27/03)
|

It's places like
this that make Maine such a beautiful place to explore. Seal Bay
thoroughfare (7/28/03) |

Janet and Bailey
enjoy a moment atop one of the many rocks in Seal Bay. Bailey is
licking his chops after just finishing up a rib bone leftover from the
previous night's dinner. (7/28/03)
|

The historic
town of Castine as it becomes enveloped by fog. (7/30/03)
|

We watched
schooner after schooner come sailing into Buck's Harbor one Monday
evening (8/4/03)
|

Charbonneau felt a little dwarfed in the Buck's Harbor anchorage.
(8/4/03)
|

We found out why
all the schooners came to town -- The Monday night steel drum street
party. Both the high school and the community members play steel
drums and make you feel like your at a Caribbean Carnival! (8/4/03)
|

When it got
dark, the party really heated up. (8/4/03)
|

We found more
musical talent at the Sweet Chariot Music and Art Festival on Swan's
Island. This was their warm-up on the water before the main act in
town. (8/6/03)
|

Welcome to
Maine. These are two photos of the same thing -- 15 minutes apart.
(8/7/03)
|

Look what we
caught while trying to anchor in Frenchboro, Long Island - Maine (8/7/03)
|

A view of the
beautiful Southwest Harbor on Mt. Desert Island. Southwest Harbor is
home to the Hinkley Yacht Company. (8/9/03)
|

Blaine holds on
during our fast, but lumpy 27-hour crossing from Southwest Harbor to
Shelburne, Nova Scotia (8/10/03)
