Another end to a near-perfect day in the Berry Islands.  Of course, the wind picked up later that evening causing us to drag anchor at 3 AM! (2/17/02)

Exploring nearby Hoffman Cay while we were anchored off of White Cay, we found this amazing place.  This is called a 'blue hole'.  It is a very deep (looks bottomless) hole that is filled from  the ocean, but the hole actually lies well inside the islands interior.   (2/18/02)

Janet and I rest inside a cave just above the rim of the 'blue hole'.  This is the kind of place you'd love to have near your house when you were a kid.  (2/18/02)

After a several week delay for engine repairs, Cherokee Rose rejoins us at White Cay, Berry Islands. (2/22/02)

We took a spontaneous vacation from anchoring out when we stopped by the Atlantis Marina, Casino, and Resort.  The entire place was magnificent with all their intricate architectural details.  The pools, beaches, and waterslides were loads of fun, but no pictures because we didn't want to get the camera wet! (3/1/02)

A view from the resort overlooking part of the marina.  We were definitely the smallest boats in the marina.  You can see our masts protruding from our slips in the picture on the left.  (3/1/02)

NormanCay.jpg (43259 bytes)
The western beach of Normans Cay, Exumas.  Home of the famous (or infamous) McDuff's restaurant and bar where we're told the bathroom is a three-sided, open to the ocean affair.  Now that's quite a view for normally boring business! (3/3/02)

A view from a sand spit in the Cambridge Cay, Exumas area.  (3/6/02)
