The kids at
Black Point show their stuff in another photo with the Janet and the
dogs. They would all run to greet Max & Bailey when we
ventured ashore. (5/7/02)

We ran into our
friends, Walt and Donna Liszewski, in Black Point. They cruise on
their Island Packet 350, 'DECADENCE.' (5/7/02)

Meet Mr. Iguana
from South Gauling Cay. He came out to let us know that we were in
HIS house. They're protected by law here and it looks like
he knows it! (5/7/02)

Janet, our own
Dr. Doolittle, makes friends with a few of the Iguanas by feeding them
seeds from a local fruit tree. More iguanas came out once the
feeding started. (5/7/02)

We couldn't
resist taking a picture with the stunning backdrop at South Gauling
Cay. The high cliffs are unusual in the Bahamas. Very few
people visit here or even know about the local iguana refuge. (5/7/02)

Hiking around
Cambridge Cay (aka Little Bell) with Walt and Donna. Bottom left
is Bell Rock. The quiet anchorage is on the right. (5/11/02)

A small Island
Packet Rendezvous on O'Brien Cay. Walt and Donna Lezweski
(Decadence), Dick and Nelda Keith (Alibi), and the Charbonneau crew. (5/10/02)

You don't
realize how much you miss the things from home -- Like Dominoes Pizza
for example. A group of us devoured several large Dominoes Pizzas
while visiting Rock Sound, Eleuthera. (5/13/02)

Meet Chris
Cates, who runs Dingle Motors at Rock Sound, Eleuthera. He and his
family welcome cruisers as they enter the harbour and can help with any
information or services. Say hello for us if you stop in to see
him. (5/16/02)

Several cruisers
got together for a cook-out in Rock Sound. One of the boats,
Jasmine, brought in a 52" Mahi-Mahi which made a wonderful meal
when marinated in soy sauce and ginger. YUM! (5/14/02)

Rock Sound is a
beautiful town with its colorful houses and flowers. Unique to
Rock sound is their Ocean Hole Park where locals and visitors enjoy the

Mail boats, like
this Eleuthera Express, bring mail and supplies to the islands. Arriving
only once a week, the mail boat's arrival sets the entire island into
action; from picking up mail or supplies to racing to the grocery to get
fresh vegetables. Everything happens on 'Mail Boat Day.' (5/14/02)
